My background

I grew up in Zambia and Malawi and settled in the U.K., post university. I feel incredibly grateful for the upbringing I had and the opportunities and learnings they gave me. Growing up in Sub-Saharan Africa was a wonderful and exciting time and this was enriched by the education I had in the U.K.
Through this, and my travels, I experienced a variety of cultures, countries and people and I am privileged that today my career continues to connect me to amazing people, teams and organisations across the globe.
I’ve managed and led teams and functions and had accountability for a 24/7 operation with over 1200 people. My career has predominantly been in the field of Learning & Development with over 30 years’ experience split between the corporate and self-employed worlds.
My passions are team and executive coaching and leadership development, and these have been at the centre of my practice since I started working independently in 2008.   The underlying foundation of my work is the desire to helping individuals, teams and organisations thrive and contribute in a wide (and ever widening) variety of sectors, industries and settings.

My proudest moment:

Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro with a group of colleagues from work. A couple of us hit on the idea of organising a charity climb whilst enjoying a few beers after a great walking weekend in the Lake District. Eighteen months later I led a group of 17 of us out to Africa and we successfully climbed Kili. We raised a considerable amount of money for various charities and had the most amazing experience.Â
